Xmas Wishlist 2010

I made a wishlist for Christmas yesterday. Here's what I'd like to have this year.

Well, don't get me started on the need for a Canon system camera. I've been longing for one for such a long time that I've pretty much lost track of when it all began. But the model in the picture and the one I'd really like to have is Canon 500D and costs around 600€. I don't want the cheapest one so this one is a bit more upgraded a version of that. Oh and as I mentioned earlier, my camera is pretty much broken so all the more reason to get a new one.

A phone. Mine was stolen last weekend so I need a new one. The criteria I have for it is that it has to have a QWERTY keyboard (as I had one in my stolen phone) and the color has to be pink :D I know. But I found this one and it costs only about 130€ so it's achievable. And I had a Samsung and I think the features in Nokia phones are better so this has to be the best found so far!

A new hairdryer and a hair straightener. I'd like to have a GHD flat iron but I'm never in a million years getting one and I've heard great things about the Remington ones so I think I'd like to have one of those instead. My old flat iron & hairdryer are really out of date and don't work too well anymore so I need new ones. Oh and did I forget to mention that these are super pretty?

I'm a sucker for Lauren Conrad and her books and I'd like to have the newest piece in the L.A. Candy series and I'm very interested in getting her style book as well so here we go.

Because I'm nowadays really into all clothes and accessories that are made from real leather, I'd like to get a leather satchel and matching over-the-knee boots with fur interior. The bag would be perfect for school and my laptop. And the boots would be so warm in winter. Also, I need a new snowboarding coat and I've tried to find one for a couple of years already but so far I've failed big time. This one is from the Shaun White collection of Burton and a really pretty one. Please get me that, ok? I love Burton coats so much and they're really warm too. I'd also love to have new PJ's because I just came to realize that I don't really have any. Yeah, how is that possible? I don't know but the Minnie Mouse PJ top is definitely the beginning of a new era haha.

So that's it and I know I'm not getting all of these if any but it's nice to have alternatives, right? ;)

Like there's no tomorrow

A sunny day in Bologna. Taken by my friend and his pretty impressive camera :)

♥ ♥ ♥

I saw a pretty nice dress the other day at H&M and I had to go and get it yesterday.

It cost only 15€ (I've seen these before for 25€ so it was definitely a bargain). We had a huge house party yesterday and I decided to wear the dress there.

This is how I accessorized it. I decided to go a little over the top with the jewellery and I was very satisfied with the outcome.

I decided to take a photo at H&M because I just received my beloved winter coat earlier this week and after wearing it for 3 winters, I still love it like I just bought it yesterday! I also love my black circle scarf, my purple beanie and the black wedges I'm wearing.

This is how the dress looked on me. Ignore the jeans haha.

Now I'm off to bed, I'm so tired and I've had a terrible headache which apparently has something to do with excessive coughing :(

Who the fuck are you to predict my future?

Okay, my 2-week holiday, that I very freely decided to have in the middle of the semester, is now officially over. He went back to Finland and it makes me sad because we had such an awesome time together for the past week both in Italy and here in France. I still haven't gone through all the photos I took on our trip so I'm going to get back to them later. Hopefully maybe even tomorrow if I find the needed motivation.

Anyway, here's all the shopping I've done this month and I'm really glad the result turned out to be pretty decent and not over the top haha.

I already had this shirt in white but I really liked it and decided to get another one in different color. They didn't have the black one anymore so I went for the blue and I'm really happy I did!

I'm absolutely head over heels in love with these cropped shirts. They can be worn with almost anything and look really nice with skinny jeans. My dear roomie made me get the raspberry red one instead of the black and white one and I'm happy with her choice hehe.

I didn't have mittens and it's getting a little bit cold also here in France so I bought these pretty ones from H&M and they cost only 2€.

This must be my fav top at the moment. It was on sale in New Look and cost only 12€.

I guess I mentioned my need for a brown belt to be worn with some of my shirts and I found this one in New Look as well. It cost around 3€ so not bad at all!

During my trip in Europe I didn't wanna put all my money on shopping but of course I had to get a Parkway Drive t-shirt given the chance! I modified the collar a bit. The blue one I bought for my French friend.

This is the front of the shirt.

And this is the behind. I love the text, it's been my slogan for the past couple of weeks and I was really happy to find it on the reverse side of the shirt.

I also needed Vans or Converse shoes and because they are far too expensive here in France I decided to buy a pair on my trip to Germany. I actually wanted to buy these in grey and black but I didn't find them and fell in love with these instead. These cost 40€ in a skate shop.

On my trip to Germany we also went to Holland and visited a pretty sweet Vans Outlet store. They had shoes for 8€ but I didn't find any pair I would have wanted to give a home to. BUT I did find a cool beanie that I regret a lil' bit that I didn't buy :( Well maybe one day.

A couple of weeks ago we also found a ridiculously cheap cosmetics store here in Lyon (Bellecour) called Saga Cosmetiques. For example I found a nail polish for 2€, one litre (!!!) of salon conditioner for 3,80€ and a conditioner for blonde hair for 2,80€. I predict a visit for the store in near future...

I'm gonna get back to you on my interrail trip next time. Right now my brain doesn't seem to function in English so let's leave at that for today.

Tonight we feel alive!

I'm here listening to Wagner and Mozart and because that makes me so creative (lol) I decided to make you an entry about my room here in Lyon. So here we go.

My desk and all the most precious stuff (yes, you may laugh now).

The table lamp is very handy when it comes to holding jewellery. What I miss most about my apartment in Finland is the necklace-hanger thingies (aka nails on the wall) that keep all my necklaces in order. The black box is for make up, located very conveniently under the mirror where I do my make up every morning.

This is my wardrobe covered with a curtain that is too long and comes in my all-time favourite color, orange (nooooot). I got these neat posters in the newest special edition of a French rock magazine, Rock One. The whole magazine was about Bring Me The Horizon, was I or was I not on cloud nine when I got my hands on it?

The questionable pile of stuff on top of my wardrobe is an interesting array of papers and all that very useful stuff that I never even look at. So ignore that. My black heart-shaped bag (aka My Fucking Black Heart, greetings for Alvaro!) has found its place on the doorknob.

The mirror looks pretty stupid there on the wall but it was needed so it had to stay there.

Have I already mentioned how much I love my ceiling window? It's the most genius thing ever, especially during summertime when it illuminates the whole room really nicely. Oh and I love the Oli Sykes poster but that goes without saying I guess.

My bag collection (plus the heart-shaped one). The brown one from Etam (Lyon), black messenger bag from Nelly.com, the big black misshaped one (in the photo) from Friis&Company and the skull suitcase from my dearest aunt. The picture also includes my current reading: the already mentioned Rock One, Finnish magazine Olivia that I've been reading every once in a while and a novel in French that I should finish before 2nd of December (not gonna happen, the most nul book ever). Oh, and my dear MP3 player of course.

And here's my bed that I really like as well. The red sheets are from Ikea and I'm so going to bring them back to Finland no matter what.

So tomorrow we're going back to normal school life once again and of course we have a presentation on the first day back, how convenient. And we must dress professionally haha, that should be interesting with the contents of my wardrobe.

We bought the flights back to Finland today and we're going via London so Primark here I come! I'm more than excited, I've been missing London lately.

Oh I was thinking about making a video in French, what do you think about that? It's not going to be anything spectacular but I really wanna make it just to improve my French and to know myself what I still need to work on in my speaking.

I'll be there just to watch you fall

Hello everybody! We started our fall break here today and so far we haven't done anything. Two of my roommates are travelling around Europe but I'm stuck here because of financial problems (as in not enough money to travel). But I'm not complaining, there are some pretty sweet shows to go to next week and Lyon is never boring :) I'm also planning a trip to Germany and Italy for next month, I hope it'll happen!

Yesterday we started the vacation with what was supposed to be a girls night but turned into one with the boys, hehe. We ate tortillas, drank some tequila and just talked and chilled. Lovely

Here are some older pictures that I haven't posted here yet.

One day a few weeks ago at Pimkie's. I don't know why I always have to take those mirror pics, so lame :D Anyway, I really liked that day's outfit.

I really want a black-white-grey checkered shirt. No exceptionally nice one has come around yet though. Waiting for the perfect one *fingers crossed*.

And here's some shopping that I've done during the past few weeks. Nothing too much because I don't wanna spend all my money on shopping. These all are just pretty much what my closet was lacking.

A black knitted circle scarf from H&M. I really needed something warm around my neck, it's getting cold here! I was just so pissed off at myself when I realized (at home, too late) that this is partially made from acryl that I really hate because it starts to look awful so soon. I should have known better!

This is also something I really wanted to have in my closet, a white shirt that is slightly transparent. Looks really nice with a simple black top under it matched with black or gray jeans. Now all I need for this is a narrow brown leather belt but where to start looking for one...

I also needed a basic black long-sleeved shirt. The ruffled sleeves are just a bonus ;)

I also needed some new leggings that could be worn with almost anything and these were perfect for that cause.

Well, a girl can never have too many necklaces, right? ;)

These all I found from Mim's and couldn't resist because they had mid-season sale as well and it's funny how all these clothes match together so well. Both the dress and the striped bolero cost only 7€ each.

The golden elephant pendant cost 7€ as well and I just had to get it because I love elephants and it was so cute!

I also found nice basic shoes from Mim's and they cost only 9€. I really needed shoes like this.

I was bored the other night and took some random pictures. This one goes for my dear Taru who wanted to see pictures of normal food that she can't get haha :D This is my typical snack in the evening. The bread is the only thing closest to Finnish bread that you can find here. The yoghurt is divine, there's no such a thing like this in Finland, I'm going to miss that! Vegetables and fruits are nice here so I try to eat them as much as possible. Kiwi is my new favourite.

Oh and the wine.. Well that's what they drink in France! Not a part of my usual evening snack though, believe it or not.

Things are getting back to normal here In The France. I hope the trains, metros and buses start running normally soon. Waiting for the next strike then!

Enjoy your fall break those of you who have it now!

So we can carry on

Greetings from cold and rainy Lyon. Our French teacher told us that it's exceptionally cold now and that it'll keep on going like this :( Nooo! I hope it'll get better soon though.

I've tried to avoid shopping but there was one thing that I really needed.

A perfect hat for autumn that I found from Claire's Accessories. Perfection! The one I ordered from H&M couple of months ago was so horrible compared to this, I'm glad I decided to return it.

I tried to take a picture of me wearing it but didn't succeed too well. Blah. But I love my new hat, guess that was the point in this entry :D

I also needed some long-sleeved tops because somehow I managed to leave all mine in Finland (along with all the autumn footwear and all that blah).

I found this perfect top from H&M and I could honestly wear it everyday. And you can wear it both at school and in parties if you accessorize it accordingly :)

Feels like Sunday.. I didn't have school today but luckily we finally managed to fill our CAF applications and send them (CAF here is like Kela in Finland, we're supposed to get student's financial aid from there). We also started new healthy life with my colocataires, let's see how long we can resist all the delicious croissants and macarons. My bet is that not for too long :D

Collage d'inspiration d'automne

I would have so many pictures to post from the past couple of days but I feel really tired at the moment so that will be put off for some time now. Anyways, today out of boredom I was browsing the new autumn clothes on H&M's website and found some things I'd like to find for my closet this fall. So here we go!

Accessories:

The perfect hat for this season I've been looking for ages and I maybe found a potential one in one store here in Lyon.

I already bought a small brown bag but for some reason I'm so into brown leather now that I'd like to match it with a bigger one in lighter shade of brown. The lighter one in the collage is from Friis&Company and the other one is real leather and from H&M.

I also want black (faux) leather gloves for winter.

Shoes:

I really need some shoes like Vans or Converse because I managed to leave all of mine in Finland. I just don't know which ones to get. Any ideas? I've seen a Vans store here and I really want to go there asap.

New fake ugg boots are a must for winter. I'm thinking about getting the purple ones but I'm not sure yet.

And because of my obsession on brown, I'd like to have some new nice pair of autumn shoes with a heel. I hope I'll find them.

Tops:

I'd love to have a black & white checkered shirt because it's easy to match with my casual outfits. I'd also like to have the same kind of denim shirt.

I've been dreaming of a black cropped blazer for quite a while now because it would be easy to wear in both casual and formal outfits.

I also need some knitted pullovers to keep me warm during winter (our apartment gets super cold at night!) and my fascination for stripes is no surprise for anyone.

The leopard-pattern shirt would be nice to wear with a black skirt and I need more that kind of shirts anyway.

I fell in love with the pink dress because of its material. It would be perfect for more formal events as well.

So that's some of it. What do you think? Any same cravings there? :)

P.S. My english is so bad today. I've been speaking way too many languages lately to make any of those actually sound decent. Blah.

Beaucoup de shopping

I haven't been able to post for a couple of days. First I didn't have time and then the internet didn't work. I really hate it that we lose the connection every once in a while. But yeah, during these (almost) 3 weeks that I've been here I've been shopping way too much. Here's what I've got so far.

In a store called Mim they have lots of basic clothes really cheap (cheaper than H&M for the most part). The striped t-shirt is from there.

And these three also. Normal, long, black cardigan was really welcome in my closet. And cost only 14€.

I also really like Moa accessories. The cupcake bracelet is from there.

And the legwarmers are also from Moa.

My new heels that I couldn't resist at New Look! I love these. They cost 29€.

Shorts also from New Look. They look kind of weird in the picture but they're really nice on.

A black skirt from Zara. I've been wearing this a whole lot since I bought it, it's so comfortable on :) Looks stupid in the picture though.

This bird-print dress is from Bershka and it was in sale so it cost only 10€. The belt came with it.

I've been looking for this kind of jeans for a while now and I found these from Zara. I took them in bigger size because I really like that they're baggy.

This skirt was on sale in Zara and it was love at first sight with this one. I really like the hem.

One thing I was also trying to find for a long time is a brown bag that I could also use at school. I found this one in Etam and I've been using it ever since.

Camaïeu also sells basic clothes for cheap. This red striped shirt cost only 3,95€.

I also went to get some basic tops and shirts from H&M and found something else too. This cropped shirt looks really good with a long black top and jeans.

This is one of my favorites now too. A striped shirt with full-length sleeves is never a bad purchase.

Our French friend from Orléans is coming to visit us for the weekend so I don't know if I'll be able to post that much this weekend but I will try my best :) Bon week-end à tous!
